Ceramic Tiger Figure by Shirō, Japan

'Tiger Figure by Shirō' is made using traditional Japanese ceramic techniques and captures the tiger's commanding presence. The roaring expression, bared fangs and finely detailed fur all show highly precise sculpting, making the tiger lifelike and full of tension and strength. In Japanese culture and feng shui, the tiger symbolises strength, courage, wealth and protection, and is regarded as an auspicious beast that wards off evil and brings the energy of success. It is suited to a company, business space or a prominent place in the home, as a symbol of leadership and authority said to bring good fortune to one's career. The glaze is warm and mellow, combining yellowish-brown with naturally varying darker tones for rich depth. It comes with its original wooden box bearing the calligraphic inscription 'Tiger' (虎) and Shirō's seal mark, adding both collecting value and the cultural character of traditional Japanese craft.
